Wall of fame
Achieving success in many forms.
Our students have gone on to explore new horizons and scale greater heights. Here are some of our inspiring success stories. Who knows, you could be one of them in due time!
“After surveying different hairdressing academies, I chose A Cut Above Academy for its collaborations with various brands and for its outdoor activities, providing more than just learning.
My mother, a hairdresser, told me about the hardship one needs to undergo to attain success. I stayed positive about my abilities and never gave up trying. I believe in myself, and I trust the A Cut Above Group of Salons to bring me to a higher level in this industry.”
Today, Dicksum is a member of A Cut Above’s Artistic Team, traveling globally representing A Cut Above Group of Salons and Academy’s Collection.
“Before I took up hairdressing, I studied the culinary arts but after awhile I found that it did not suit me. I decided to change my course and a friend of mine introduced me to A Cut Above Academy.
At first, I do not see myself as having much talent in this profession. It took me a lot of practice and I never gave up, always doing my best. I believe that hard work will eventually pay off as long as I believe in myself. I am still learning and I know I will never stop learning. Stay humble, I say.”
Chefuu Lee worked in Singapore as a Technical Advisor, became the first Malaysian to be certified Color Master in Singapore by a Japanese Company and today is the Co-Salon Owner of The Editor.
At A Cut Above Academy, we give 3 levels of grading when our students complete their 12-month program:
Gold is the more difficult to achieve, with only about 10% of students obtaining it in a year. We are proud and honoured to announce this year’s 6 Gold achievers to all our dear curomers, associated, and loyal followers.
Congratulations to batch 9-15
Each and every one of you have managed to break the Academy’s record by obtaining your Gold certification. This is the first time in the history of the Academy that we have as many as 6 students who achieved Gold. We applaud each of you for your individual commitment to the activities and teachings, as well as your very own diligence and capacity for teamwork.
Congratulations for proving that such an achievement is possible.
